Posts: 400 Location: Wisconsin | I started this thread looking to hear from you all about what your dream waters are... Now I'm pretty sure we all need to fish where Al fishes... Multiple in the upper 60in range sounds good to me

Posts: 2754 Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | WiscoMusky - 3/3/2016 4:30 PM Hahahahaah You asked for it, so hahahaah! Go fish with SLED... I do like the cartoon, but hate Dawg's w/long tails - big fish rip them off! Sorry Spencer B... My advice is to do your own search for your dream water..set your own standard... Go explore or try any of the lakes I posted - there are some in Wisconsin, some are up by SLED - You need much bigger water or less pressure for really big fish - go where 58" have been caught. There's probably a bigger sister in there. Me I don't chase the bite..Go north to Presque Isle or south to the Pete or east to the Bay for big water. Its hard to find them if the water won't support them...if you want big fish.. Define your goal. Some folks like limited goals...they need instant gratification. There are a few lakes that can do that too. Try Kagagi/Crow too, its another spectacular trout water...very easy to lose your prop or lower unit too, you need a good chip if you night fish on it... Whitefish Bay on LOTW might do it too! I've also heard some stories about Minaki and also the French River..........or just go fish the Ottawa River or St. Lawrence River. Better yet go see if the Chip or LCO if they will meet your desires...Try Cass or Vermillion in MN. Cass is a crazy fun stucture lake. Crab Lake up by Presque Isle is even crazier, its probably eaten more props & lower units than any other WI lake.. Maybe you should define "dream musky water" - then maybe you'd get some real practical advice..not everyone chases big fish! Yes, "so many lakes, so little time" - spot on! I like what esoxaddict said -> but you need serious resources and time.. Go to a muskie show and talk to some of the guy's who chase what you're after.. http://walleyes.org/muskies/dryberry.htm http://www.nielsensflyinlodge.com/ If you go here I'll mark your map, I've fished it 5x. All three lakes have big fish. http://nestorfalls.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/KayLake.pdf BTW: I do like SLED, he's funny too....for a chemi! Have fun! Al
