Location: Minnesota. | Question, I have this 6' Falcon rod that I have used once. Can't decide if I want to keep it or not...bought it new at Thorne's a long time back now, maybe 16-18 yrs. The grip's not even soiled.
FC-10-16 XX Hvy. Do you guys use rods this short ever? I can't decide if I should keep it or put it up for sale or what! I don't NEED another rod, I have a handful but none this short. Curious if folks still like them this short?
Any dis/advantages to using it? Thanks. I'm totally unsure but I hate selling off fishing stuff that "might" be of some use. |

Location: Hayward, WI | Might be neat for working some baits. My main concern with a rod like that is keeping the line tight and keeping fish pinned. I started with a 6.5' mh rod and it was tough to keep the rod bent well and maintain good pressure on the fish. I was often cranking like crazy to keep pressure on the fish. Never know till you try it though. |

Location: Minnesota. | Thanks all. Looks like I'll keep her as an extra little stick and hopefully it'll prove it's worth. If it turns out to be difficult to maintain pressure on a fish - an initial concern - it'll go! |
