As the subject says, what's the best way to t a treble? I have done a few by just using pliers and bending them, but looking for some ideas or tips. Thanks in advance.

I latch a Vice Grips onto the shank & eye of the hook aligned with whichever hook point is the closest to being inline with the eye. Carefully finish lining up that point 1st, then slowly bend the other 2 points to 90 degrees of the 1st point & the eye using a lineman's pliers. Hope this helps.

Be certain to remove the hooks from the lure when "T" ing them, lest you catch yourself with one of the other hooks on the lure! It only takes a moment to remove the hook and then re-install it.

Just use the pliers and that's all you need to do. No need to over think this.

Place the soldered hook in a vise & use lineman pliers to bend the others. For the thicker/forged hooks it might best to heat the hook up where it will be bent.

Ok I'm pretty much a noob at dedicated Muskie fishing and have to ask, why would you T a hook and what type of bait is it for?

Bigeasy; T- ing hooks is more for crank baits, glide baits, that sort of lure. It helps with keeping away the hook marks/ digs, that wear the bait to the bone yard, sort of speak;)!  It also will help exposing more points of hook, for better hook ups.
