Posts: 633 Location: Madison, WI | Does anyone know the handle length on this rod? Specifically the 9'? I can't seem to find that anywhere online. Also has anyone used this rod? Thanks- Dan

Posts: 325 Location: Otsego, MN | I have the 9' H action and really like it. The handle is a little shorter than my TI's by about 1-2". I use the rod for blades mostly and like it but my one complaint would be the handle and wish it was longer but I say that with most rods.

Posts: 742 Location: Grand Rapids MN | I have the 8'6" XH rod and it's now my "all around" rod. Really light with good balance and feel. A store sells them locally for $150 so it's a great rod for the cash. Doesn't have a super fat grip, say compared to a TI rod, but pretty comparable to most rods. I would pay the $200 msrp for it now that I've owned one.

I have the trolling version however, Fenwick lists all the Elite Tech Predators as having the same handle type "A". Measures at 22" overall; lower butt at 13" from reel seat. Have it paired with a Tekota 300LC and its a tremendous trolling outfit. Fenwick has some great rods and why they fly under the radar is a wonder. Also have an Aetos and Elite tech smallmouth series all of which fish like rods 2x their price.

Posts: 303 | Been using one since the beginning of last year. Really like it. I have a 9' XH that is rated to throw 4-12 oz baits. Really like it! I do not throw pounders or anything over the size of a Mag Dawg, but it could probably handle baits up to or slightly over its rating. Pounders would get old in a hurry. But I paired it with a NaCl and I have never looked back. Love the stick!

Posts: 633 Location: Madison, WI | 12" seems extremely short? I hope that's just the trolling version. Anybody have the measurement of the 8'6" or 9' casting rod from the butt to the reel seat?

Posts: 278 Location: US | I haven't used mine yet, but as stated above, fenwick makes great rods. I use them pretty much exclusively for non muskie stuff. OP- Handle diameter of the butt measures just over an inch (1.03"-1.06") if you are concerned about that too.
