I was given a red crackle Le Lure Creeper for Christmas and have a couple of questions. Being board, waiting for open water again, I have reread Jim and Steve's 2nd edition book...again. In it they talk about adding split rings to the hooks to help increase the hooking percentage. Will doing this, on this particular lure, cause the hooks to snag on the side wings when casting? My second questions is do any of you have any experience tuning this lure? If so, would you mind passing that knowledge on.

Thanks.
