I am heading up to Cass Lake MN this Saturday for a full week on the water (can't wait) and was wondering if anyone has any intel they would care to share (i.e. whats works this time of year for patterns and lures, what I can expect, etc). I have virtually no experience on this lake (one short trip last fall fishing for walleyes) and want to eliminate dead water. I will be spending a day with a guide but not until Monday. Want to use Sat PM and Sunday to get familiar with the lake (I wouldn't mind putting a fish or two in the boat either). I am taking my much younger brother with me who has never fished for Muskie... I sure would like to be the one to put him onto his first fish. Thanks in advance for anyone who would care to share what they know.

I am headed up to Cass on June 27th. I have been researching this lake for a while now but have yet to fish it. The mouth of Kitchi, Pike Bay and the Allens Bay area should all be good this time of year. Good lures are said to be smaller spinnerbaits and bucktails. Muskie Candy is the preffered lure by several locals. Like I said I have yet to fish this water but this is what my hard work points to, I hope it helps you out. Please let me know what you see and do. You can e mail me at [email protected] if you want to talk in private. Good Luck, Hope you can figure something out. Pinks
