| Asked this question a while back, was just wonderin if anyone has used plastic spinner blades to build Bucktails? Or if anyone has ever fished with them, and if so what your thoughts are? Just received my Lure parts online catalog and seen they have various shapes n sizes. Any feedback would b appreciated! |

Location: Detroit River | Larry Dahlberg had a show a while back or maybe it was one of the MakeLure videos he did, where he made a spoon or blade out of resin. He poured it into a table spoon & placed some bent wire in it so it could be attached to a clevis or swivel.

Location: Plover, WI | Last year I tried plastic blades on a cocktail. I too was intrigued by the write up in LPO catalog about turning at slower speeds. I was disappointed with the outcome. The blades did not turn at all. I tried the single and double. Hope that helps.

Location: Aurora IL | Built a few last year to try. Blades were hard to start but did spin. All blades eventually broke off when they hit the water on casts. No follows but still thinking maybe spinnerbaits. They have to sound different,maybe trolling only. Bill |

| I'm a plastic injection molder n was just wondering if it would b worth the time, to bust a few out! Doesn't seem like the interest is out there tho! Thank for the posts! a better quality material would def help with the break offs and I would think that they wouldn't bend n get the crease like some metal blades a little heat and u could get em rite back to new! Thanks again guys! |
