I'm back tying up tails again. Is there a reason besides cost savings that most hair bucktails are not tied really full. Any reason to or not to tie up a full haired coil?

Sounds like a good idea to me, especially if the hair is long. Good luck.

Several Pro's and cons. Here's a couple;

 To the fisherman, the looks of a fuller bucktail seems to peek our interest...and look more enticing,+ a fuller tail may displace a bit more water to get more looks....With that said...

 A more stream line bucktail may be more appealing to the fish, and be attacked with a bit more regularity!

Make a couple of each, and do some field testing  :)

Maybe it goes with the times of the people. Like lots of hair in the 70's. Today, not so much.

Don't forget the big hair era of the 80's either.
I'm pretty sure it's what inspired George to start tying the Eagle Tail.
Where did he get those long luscious bucktails anyway?
