Location: Madison, WI | I started dressing my own treble hooks last year. I love doing it. The problem I ran into was finding a vise that could hold a #7/0. I made it work using cheaper ones but I broke 2 while fighting every step of teh way with them. I'm willing to pay more this year for a vise that is able to correctly handle bigger hooks. Recommendations? |

Location: Madison, WI | Thanks for the suggestions. I really wish I knew someone who welded. But since I don't I'm going with the Dyna King. I've added it to my Christmas "Fishing Stuff" gift-list. I guess I'll find out how good my wife thinks I've been this year. Thanks again! |

| Might want to check with Tom Stinson, he has an Etsy site. He sells a great Tying Vise, high quality (Stainless) for around $140 I believe. I think he designed it for the bigger Musky hooks but he can confirm for you. If you can't find him on the Etsy site he is also on Facebook.
I have bought a number of custom painted lures from Tom and he is great to deal with. His Tying Vice is on my Christmas list... |
