Location: Madison, WI | As a good friend of mine (Donnie Hunt) taught me, cast the Dawg of your choice out, let it sink however far conditions warrant, and that start a series of slow sweeping pulls alternate direction... left, right, left ,right, maybe a left left with a twitch in between. Then, and this is the important part, when the bait is between 10 & 20 feet from the boat stop pulling and let the bait sink on a tight line until it is nearly vertical then start pumping it to the surface. When the bait is near the surface make a radical turn and roll the bait over on it's side and go directly into your figure 8. The roll over move is a killer and one that will get those lazy followers in the mood. Craig Eversoll |

I work those things everywhere. Toss them out and get super aggressive with them -big strong pulls, change directions and try staggering jerks.
On opener this was the goto bait on the lake we were on.The Frankendawg
christ I got one that is just barely held together with melting, mono stitching...it just won't stop catching fish! I love these damn things so much I always have one rigged up and ready to go.
