Meeting is at Lake Region Electric Cooperative, 1401 S. Broadway, in Pelican Rapids.

Location: The desert | I didn't make it, but heard attendance was fairly minimal in general. Not sure if it was more pro or anti.
I did hear that muskies like sexual predators. How so? I have no idea. |

Location: Alex or Alek? | I'm not sure how the rest of the meetings have went but this one was very non-formal. They had set up 3 tables for each lake proposed with 2-3 DNR employees at each table. It was more of an open discussion than a sit down, raise your hand, say your 2 cents and sit back down.
There was around 20-30 people there (not including DNR) About half muskie guys. As typical the lake associations were up in arms and worried about their precious walleyes/panfish, but every argument was rebuttal'd by either a muskie guy and/or the DNR representatives that where there. (The DNR had our back the whole time)
Also our good friend Dave was there starting arguments and giving out his facts, he was getting very "upset" by the end of the meeting. And at one point one of the DNR guys sitting next to me leans over and says "don't worry he doesn't know anything about fishing anyways, if he has a boat its probably registered in ND"
Also yes some lake shore owner said, when someone said it wasn't her right to decide what gets stocked in a public lake, well if a sex offender moves into your neighborhood wouldn't you be worried. |
