I will be up in Polk county this weekend and I have one day I can get my boat out. So my question is do I go to deer lake or Wapogasset? I don't know anything about Wapogasset, ive been on deer a couple times but I don't like the whole spearing thing. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Tony is right. Drag some suckers out on the river. Deer and Wapo don't have much for structure and everything is weed related during the year, so you would just be fishing down random breaks since most of the weeds are gone now. Apple is easy...get in the main channel and fish the whole thing.
