Is it bad to store fiberglass boats outside in the summer. Will the sun cause any damage if covered?

Should be fine as long as it's covered...you just don't want water getting in and rotting any wood if the boat has it. When I bought my boat it was outside for who knows how long, and the floor, transom, and all the wood was squishy and rotted. I ended up stripping the hull completely and rebuilding it. However all the fiberglass was in great shape.

I've kept mine under a cover outside for 6 years, no worse for wear. Cover is getting a bit faded, but that's about it. I'd recommend covering your trailer tires when it's going to sit for a while as they suffer the worse sitting in the sun/elements.
