Posts: 2427 Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | The boat I am getting this weekend has a back locator that is ran by its own seperate battery. The battery it has is pretty much shot right now. I was wondering if it would be ok to get a smaller battery for the back since it is just running the depth finder instead of huge one. Or should I just spend the extra money and get a big one? There is a regular sized battery in the front running the trolling motor and front depth finder. Remember price is an issue since I am a broke ass school teacher! Thanks, Mike Hulbert

Posts: 326 Location: Plainfield IL | Mike- I voice in the opposite direction. I would run a full size battery for the graph. Why, it will serve as a backup to your TM batteries if one is shot or looses its juice on the lake. You can buy a walmart (ever Start) at a relatively cheap price. I acutally have a spare TM batt from when I replaced my TM batts last year. 1 was good, 1 bad, kept the good one. If you want it you can have it. Its a Great White battery. RH
