Location: Minnetonka | Hey Joe, What size boat will you be running and how much experience do you have on big water? It can get wicked out there. Looks like a steady wind from the South on Saturday at 14 mph with 23 mph gusts throughout the day. That can kick up some nasty rollers heading up into Portage Bay. If you have experience with rough water and a suitable rig, that wind can make for fantastic rock conditions (Pelican Reef, Submarine, North Bar, West Bar, and several other less known rock spots). Always err on the side of caution on that lake though, safety should be your number one concern. Often, you don't see how rough it is from shore until you're smack dab in the middle of it. All that said, there are some giants in Walker Bay as well and the wind will be much less of a factor.
