Not sure if its true, but heard Muskys inc may be on the water wanting to tag some fish, Leech lake strain was introduced a few years ago and there hoping a few may be in some lucky teams nets. Good luck to all!

Pit tagged 8 of 9 fish caught for the tournament. Muskies Inc provided volunteer boats/drivers to transport the DNR reps who installed Pit tags, took a small fin clip and took scale samples. DNA from fin clips will determine if any are Leech Lake strain in case they lost their spots due to diet or other factors. That is a direct quote from a DNR rep who took the samples. I'm not aware of any Leech Lake strain caught just from the appearance that they were the regular fish we usually catch there. One exception was the first fish caught on Saturday which was a tiger muskie just over 32".
