Location: Minnesota | Just had a Minnkota authorized service center replace the brushes, armature, seals...on a Terrova 101. Now when I run the Terrova my Hummingbird 2D and side imaging are picking up so much noise/interference that it is useless. Shut the Terrova off and the Hummingbird works perfectly. The Hummingbird is powered off the starting battery which is not tied into the trolling motor batteries. The noise issue did not exist before the repair. Any ideas where i should start? I'm wondering if perhaps a wire on one of the brushes may be making contact with the casing and if that would cause this noise issue. Before I start ripping and tearing I thought I would see if I could get some advice. Thank you in advance for any suggestions. |

Location: Minnesota | Received a pm from a member who had the same problem previously. Turned out the issue was caused by a blown 3 amp fuse in the unit's head. Thanks for the help. |

Location: Madison, WI | Mine used to do the exact same thing when hooked up to the us2. Called Minn Kota and they knew the exact issue and sent me a "ferrite" ring free. Wrap your transducer cable through the ring as many times as you can and hook it back up. Never an issue since. |
