Not sure if any of you guys know Darcy from AML, but I was out fishing with him some years back while battling black flies all morning. Finally he said "Gotta put on some bug spray..." and took a can of WD-40 out of one of the lockers. He was just about to spray it when I said "dude, wrong can!" He looked at it and said "Nope. WD-40." And proceeded to spray the #*#* all over his legs. "Really?" "Yup. Only thing that actually works on black flies..."

Anybody else heard of that?

Do you have to get in the dishwasher to get the WD-40 off?

I just reserved booths at 5 2016 musky shows, I will be selling dishwashers. I am developing a limited edition dadson autographed dishwasher that will be selling for 25k.

If it's ticking, it jest means a piece of silverware fell down by the sprayer bar.

Try to find a diesel powered commercial one. The year-round residents of Vilas expect nothing less.

See if you can get one with a cup holder. I know the coal fired dishwashers do.

dishes get just as clean when you do them in the sink and the effort is part of the experience ...

Yes but dishwashers are legal in Vilas and Oneida counties. One per person no more than two per household.

When I first started buying musky lures a couple years ago I didn't know how to properly store them so I have a few grungy lures (rubbers touching cranks etc...).

Nothing worse than when your crank gets all grungy from touching old rubbers.

ToddM, it is impressive that you have reached the 11,000 mark on posts, with a vast majority being very beneficial to all muskiedome, but you have gotten stuck on 11,004.

I think what you meant was 11,004 of them.

In defense of the original poster, I did wash a bunch of bucktails in a bucket once. Left them closed up in my tackle box, still wet, after a day on the Fox Chain. When I opened the box a few days later the smell nearly knocked me off my feet.

Funny, but that never happens in Northern Wisconsin or Canada. Neither does the brown streak down the sides of the boat. Scary to think that people actually swim in that water....

Sorry, I don't know what the heck I'm talking about, as further evidenced by the fact I'm posting in a dishwasher discussion in a musky forum.

Seriously, toothpaste. We find nasty crankbaits in the rivers here and that's the best way to clean them up. It has microabrasives and it won't cause acid reflux like a beer and onions boil.

Do you recommend lure whitening? How about braces for bent and misshapened lures? Can you throw a bucktail with a retainer? I have so many questions now.
