Got the itch for a new stick and these two have my interest. Wanted to get opinions on both.Looking for a looong "beatin' stick".Is Croix still using SiC guides on the Avid Muskie series? Thanks. Steve

I really like both the 8 foot Fig Rig and the Ty Sennet Signature Series Fig Rig. You can't go wrong with these rods, super light and great back bone for the hammering hooksets.

Steve,

Just me opinion...and no I am not sponsored by Fig.. I have sold most of my St. X's and use primarily Fig's and will continue to do so if the quality stays high and the price fair.

I don't think you can even compare the two with the new model of Fig's that are out there. Don't get me wrong; I think St. X is an ok rod, but Fig-Rig has raised the bar a few notches for a stick in the $170-$200 range.
