Hey Guys,

I'm looking to take the wife for a Friday-Monday short trip somewhere in Ontario. Anyone have any suggestions that would suit us for this mini-trip? A nice place and food (American Plan) is what we are after. TV, internet and hot tub are major pluses. Something like the Totem Lodge Resorts, maybe just a hair less. $325 a night is a bit much for September if you ask me. That and fishing on Whitefish Bay for such a short time makes that a tough sell. I'll be going on my first Canadian Muskie trip this summer, so I'm knew when it comes to fishing across the border. I'm sure she'll come out and do some walleye fishing, but good fishing close to the resort for muskies would be nice since I envision coming back to the resort several times a day. I think Eagle Lake Island Lodge might be a frontrunner for now. Appreciate anything you can offer.
Troyz.

Where are you coming from? Mylies might have space but you'd have to prepare your own food, which doesn't fit your criteria. But there is good fishing nearby and the drive is short (dependent on where you're coming from I guess) which gives you more fishing time.

Eagle lake lodge is hard to beat IMO. Beautiful scenery, great fishing, really good accommodations. Wife will love it.

No such place exists. Drop the wife off at the Mall of America, I'll meet ya at Thorne Bros. & show ya some of my favorite spots on LOTW.

Anyone know of other places like Stanleys? Working on a family trip requiring nice cabins with housekeeping. Really like the looks of that but the west arm of eagle isn't really what I am looking for on this trip.

I've stayed here. Super nice. You have to cook your own meals, but the kitchen is insane.

I spend a week at Tomahawk on LOTW (Sioux Narrows) every summer. Awesome resort.

A lot of driving if you want to find a higher musky population though. If you're willing to go 20 miles 1 way, you can find good fishing. I have seen a couple monsters closer to camp too, just tougher fishing around there.
