Posts: 24 | I'm sure many out there have run into this: Throwing a Suick or Bobbie and you have decent follow that is directly in line with bait where as you begin the figure 8 there is just no more action with the bait as you approach the boat. Do you speed the bait up in the 8, maybe add a grub tail, etc Looking for some feedback as I've had this happen numerous times and it seems like I just run out of room to trigger on the stick I'm dragging through the water!

Posts: 44 Location: Ohio | There are and YouTube videos of guys fishing suicks and they keep pulling them slowly in the shape of an 8 at the side of the boat. They keep working them in the shape of an 8 Edited by nick220722 8/20/2015 11:57 AM

Location: varies | Make fast 6" circles with your rod tip as you pull the bait in the oval or 8. Don't worry about the rod splashing.

Posts: 345 Location: Poynette WI. | With suicks I like to do 6-12 inch zig zags with tje rod tip in the water in a big circle. Or just keep twitching the rod enough to get an erratic action while going around in a circle. Sometimes I don't even make a circle, I'll just keep jerking the around all over the place and have had plenty of fish come out of nowhere and slam it. My rod tip is almost always in the water while working a suick around at boatside, just the commotion or splashing of the rod tip can be enough action. Last weekend I noticed the front hook on my suick was fooled on top so I tried yanking it free all the way to the boat and a couple feet from the boat I stopped and just was reeling it in the last couple of feet and once I stopped reeling there she was right underneath the bait. All it would've took was to keep jerking it around even with the fooled hook and I'm almost positive she would've ate it. Edited by FISHFINDER101 8/20/2015 12:42 PM
