I went out on the creek with my son this afternoon Canoeing for muskies. We stopped on the way there and met a musky fisherman selling lures on the side of the road and bought some baits from him.
Fished up and down the creek and finally hooked up with a 44 incher. Don't think I could have landed her if I hadn't had a great net man helping!

Now there is something you don't hear every day! Great fish by the way any pics of those lures?

What a trip to catch one in a canoe. Complete chaos! I thought we were tipping over! Here's one for me with downtown Minneapolis in the background. 43"

It had been a while since I had been out in a canoe and I had that unsteady feeling, like I could tip over at any time. I've noticed that as I get older, I'm not as steady and don't have as much balance as I used to have.
But, when that fish hit, it was just like when you hang a fish out in the gulf on a kayak. You lose your fear and forget about everything but fighting that fish!!

Nice fish there dtaijo!
