| I always prefer to cast for muskies but this fall I would like to troll some deep weedlines and drops for muskies. What trolling setups do you guys use. What action and length is mostly prefered?
Any info helps! |

Location: Forest Lake, Mn. | 8 foot rods, heavy power but medium/medium fast action. St. Croix Rods made a rod using a graphite/fiberglass blank rather than an all graphite blank because as I understand it graphite can get brittle in colder temps.
Brett Erickson from Thorne Bros gives a talk about fall trolling muskies and rods.

| What about the rod holders? Does anyone ever use the clamp-on ones for muskie fishing? I'm scared to try because I don't want to lose an expensive setup if the clamp does not hold strong enough. |

Location: Algonac, MI | Use Salty's for your boat rods. You can use rocket launcher for board rods. |
