Posts: 166 Location: Merrill, Wisconsin | Okay, let's clear this all up for everyone. Here's my questions and everyone wants to know which is the best for them so let's here some thoughts. So obviously the toro s is meant to be the sucessor to the NaCl and winch. This will be come in the same four sizes, 50/60 51/61. This is a 5.3:1 ratio reel, what's the IPT on this? And is it as bullet proof as the old 5.4 NaCl gears? Ambassaduer beast now is the round reel that has the Muskie graphics and has the spool release like the old c3, this is the reel that retails for 399$ it is suppose to be the best musky fishing reel ever made by Garcia. But it's only offered in the 6500/6501 size and it has a 5.1:1 ratio according to tackle warehouse. What's the IPT on this? Now the toro beast is the bass reel that's suppose to be for all big game fishing but it's only offered in 7.1:1 ratio and sure it has 22lb of drag but will it burn out right away?? Someone give me some more insight on all of these reels and maybe help clarify the confusion. Thanks

Posts: 1283 | No the Toro Beast is specifically a MUSKIE reel. The Beast is a bass reel.

Posts: 32892 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Revo Toro Beast, made for Muskie fishing: Revo Toro S, Muskie reel: Ambassadeur Beat retro model, please notice the push button release instead of a thumb bar, cast control knob, etc. Retro. Collectable, and attractive to those who began fishing way back when with a Swedish 5000 model that looked pretty much like this w/O graphics and the Beast gearing: Attachments ---------------- th.jpg (17KB - 501 downloads) Untitled.jpg (53KB - 558 downloads)

Posts: 120 | Am I correct in assuming that the only difference between the 50 size and 60 is now spool depth? Instead of width like the old models.

Posts: 295 | The 60 size spool has to be bigger than the 50 size (not just depth) as the ipt is greater in the 60 than the 50 with the same gearing.
