Posts: 454 | Double 10, Where do you plan to fish? The lake extends from a Wayzata on the east to St. bonifacius on the west coast end. It isn't a resort lake so pick a town closest to the part of the lake you want to fish and search for hotels. If you have a lot of $$$ you could find a home for rent on the water too...

Posts: 3147 | Lake Minnetonka has one bed and breakfast hotel that I know of,,, The birdhouse Inn it is in Excelsor not cheap not ridiculous I'm guessing in the $180 a night range,,canopy beds, doilys type deal but your limited in options. I would look at Plymouth it is fairly close and has some of the usual chain motels. There is a Sheraton right down the road from Wayzata it is the Ridgedale one this actually is going to be the site headquarters for the 2016 muskies Inc 50th anniversary and scientific conference. So in a way it's got a musky connection,,but I think Plymouth is your better option. Edited by happy hooker 6/17/2015 8:00 AM

Place to stay- pick any hotel from st. Boni to Plymouth.

East and west are equally great. West is more stained and slightly less pressured. East end can be crystal clear. Typically more pleasure crafters on the east end too. Find bait fish schools. Nothing you can cast is too big. Pay attention to the moon.
Edited by bllhogg 6/17/2015 8:26 PM
