Also Craig, talks of boycott is counter productive to your goals and mine. I know that there have been several anglers who are members of Capitol City MI. who have left their memberships expire or are planning to do so because of the chapters stance against transport tournaments. Also, I use to attend your annual April seminar and spend hundreds on raffle tickets in support, however because of what I deem as shortsightedness on a part of a few, I can not in all good conscience continue with my support. The spring seminar has always been a great time for me and I found it easy to convince others to join me there. I hope in the future that your chapter will go out of its way to poll anglers who fish transports and listen to what they have to say instead of treating them with disdain.

Thanks and have a great season,

This is some classic stuff here. Craig don't you dare try to boycott the WMT, that's counterproductive to all of our (read Tom's) goals. He however holds the right to not attend (read boycott) the CCMI April seminar because of some higher moral authority??

To paraphrase the above quote, I would like to attend your annual WMT events and spend several hundred dollars in support, however because of what I deem shortsightedness by a few, I cannot, in all good conscience support these events....I hope in the future that the WMT will go out of its way to poll anglers who don't fish transport tournaments and listen to what they have to say instead of treating them with disdain.

I know of very few muskies that have died using either method to register a fish caught. I would certainly not say more died one way then the other. If you use great care in how you handle the fish both transport and boatside registering will work. I will say that in some of the nontransport tourneys we have had to wait what I feel was way too long. This again was only a few times and the fish did just fine anyway.
I want to say one thing on the 50 inch vote, its over and a done deal for now. Time for those who want this to regroup and try again. Its certainly not the end of the world and should not create hard feelings. In the future I am confident we will see larger limits on some lakes.

Unfortunate but change takes time and with a new proposal and more education on it can pass.
