Who stuck the first one of the year....who didn't? Unfortunatley I am unable to go due to a herniated disc in my back.

Isn't open up here yet, so we went down a dirt road to one of Keith's secret lakes, a dark water honey hole about 250 arces huge. The thing is crawling with nice crappies and pike, which we all took advantage of. Dinner was fillets and fresh cut fries, YUMMY.

Go a 34" and a 37" Saturday, can't name the lake or my partner will kill me. Then go a 28" and a 35" on back to back casts on Sunday. No giants but lots of fun.

Decided to beat the rush at first light Saturday so went out at Midnight. By 1:00 am I had released a 37 incher, had a follow, and my partner lost a fish that we never saw. I called it a sucessful opener at 2:15 am and went home to bed. After sleeping in and letting the madness at the lauches settle down, I took my 9 year old out to have some fun. In between the panfish action did manage to catch a 5lb bass while throwing for Muskie. Bonus, I guess???

Saw 15 fish on Saturday. None interested in eating my offerings. Saw the first fish 5 minutes on the water. But darn it all, seeing is not catching!!!!!!!

Fished Saturday from 2:30pm to dark, caught a 34 inch ski, two sub legals and a 28 inch northern. Sunday got a 44.5, a 38.5, a sub legal and 3 bass. The muskies are still in the spawn process, not much for follows(3).

Buddy got a 32, and lost a ~38 at the boat trying to horse it in. I got a 33 and a 37. All fish were REALLY shallow. Had two more take pokes and had a low 40 inch fish roll up on the bait. NO FOLLOWS!

Lake died at 9 am.

I got a 31 on an Undertaker on Pewaukee Sunday, and raised one earlier on a Slammer Drop Belly. Awesome bait. I just know it's gonna put some fish in the boat for me this year!

Fished muskies for about 45 minutes this weekend, and had one follow from a 40"er. Got 104 smallies on Sat, and about 50 more on Sun. + had a musky try to eat my bobber, and one did eat my jig and minnow and snap me. Best smallie weekend ever for me for numbers(only 9 over 18" the whole weekend), and now its time for the green ones!!!

Good job Jeff and boys!!! Time to get my butt in gear!

Saturday- Big Green..one follow on a Manta at around 8am, Morriscode nailed a fat picked named Beetlejuice (due to it's large body and small head)

Saturday Evening- Little Green..no muskies but Morriscode and I became the bassmasters champs of south central Wisconsin.

Sunday- Little Green...B.A.S.S. no muskie

I can't wait for Minnesota's opener
