Posts: 147 Location: WI - Land of small muskies and big jawbones | For jerks I like the 6' 9" heavy action rods. For cranks and bucktails I prefer a 7' 6" med-heavy or heavy action.
I'm nuts about musky fishing. Could you tell?

Tony, Past 4 years, I have been using a 7'6" for Bucktails and a 7' for everything else. This year I am keeping the same 7' for everything else, but, I bought an 8'6" for bucktails. (I bought it in Nov. so I only got in a few casts, but I've been practice casting in the lake the last 2 weeks and I really like it). Scott
