For jerks I like the 6' 9" heavy action rods.  For cranks and bucktails I prefer a 7' 6" med-heavy or heavy action.

I'm nuts about musky fishing.  Could you tell?

I like my 6'2" avid for jerks/g;iders and my 7'6"MH for everything else. Thinking hard about the 7'6"H avid.

Tony,

Past 4 years, I have been using a 7'6" for Bucktails and a 7' for everything else.

This year I am keeping the same 7' for everything else, but, I bought an 8'6" for bucktails. (I bought it in Nov. so I only got in a few casts, but I've been practice casting in the lake the last 2 weeks and I really like it).

Well I'm a little shorter so I go with a 6'2" for jerks and 7' for bucktails, topwater and cranks

This year I'm trying an 8' AllStar for Bucktails and cranks.
I'm thinking of buying the 6'9 St Coix Premier Heavy action for my jerks.

Good Luck.
