Posts: 346 | Was this minor league team (also of Madison I believe) from the late 60's named of muskies (the fish)? Just curious. MJB

Posts: 346 | Nevermind. I would never think that a sports team would be named after a fairly uncommon fish. Maybe Sworral played for them back in the day. MJB Edited by MJB_04 5/5/2003 1:50 AM Attachments ---------------- ![]()

Posts: 1536 Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | Someone can correct me if I am wrong. But I believe that the Minnesota Muskies were an ABA Basketball team. The name Connie Hawkins rings a bell as well. I think that he was their "star" player. Don't quote me on this, but I think that is what the deal was.

Posts: 532 Location: Chicago, IL | I know there is a semi-pro hockey team in Canada named the Muskies after the fish also. They actually have a awsome logo! I have tried to contact the team to see if I could buy one of their hats but never got a response. Oh well...lol -Phil
