I happen to catch 42' 35 lbs 4oz muskie yesterday while catchfishing in mouth of Va New River. I was bank fishing with 4 of my buddies when something smack my pole i gave a jerk to set the hook, thats when it made it rise out the water for the first time i saw the beast with those teeth took me while but i landed the beast.

Wow, that would be about twice the ideal weight of a 42" fish.

Steve maybe he meant 52 inches ;)  a 42 inch 35+ pounder would have a 26 inch girth.

42'..WOW!
I was hoping to hit the Columbia river with my brother sometime and the Giant Sturgeon are like only a measley 14 feet. I would like to request just one tooth from a 42 footer for on my wall to show non believers that Muskie have big teeth.
