Has anybody had problems with these baits. I have caught fish on two and both cracked down the bottom during the fight. I am not talking small cracks to the finish, I am talking big cracks to the body of the bait. So large that the bait is basically useless and becomes water logged.

Never had a problem, but give Odyssey a call, and they should be able to help you. The number is 651-653-6810, or email [email protected].

Never had one split and have plenty of phantoms. But they are a wood bait and suppose that there will be some that split. The only problem I ever had was when they first came out with prizm and the epoxy was rather short lived. I've never even heard of a wood issue. Call them.

A question, what time of year did they crack? I've had baits crack in either extream heat and extream cold. Either way, give'em a call and they'll make it right.

As soon as you notice any crack, even a very small one, stop using it imediately, let it dry and patch it with 5 minuyte epoxy.

You need to stop using it right away so water doesn't creep under the finish and crack it even worse.

This applies to all baits with the envirotex type finish.

Hope this helps.

Muskie Treats, They both Cracked last weekend. Water temps in the 50-55 degree range in Northern Ill.

I emailed Thor Pearson at odyssey, he got back to me in about 30 seconds and is going to take care of me. Sounds like they have great customer service. Love the bait hopefully I only got a couple of bad ones because I have 5 more that I haven't used yet.
