Posts: 151 Location: West of the metro, MN | I've been fishing musky for a few years now but never really gave crank baits a chance. After struggling at the beginning of the season I decided to throw more crank baits and it really paid off, both casting and trolling. I became very fond of Big Game twitches and salmo whitefish. With the musky season fast approaching I looked in my tackle box and realized I need more cranks! What are some of your guys' favorite cranks/twitches?

Posts: 1039 Location: North St. Paul, MN | 6" and 7" slammers for me. I like the rounded lip on the 6" slammer better than the squared lip of the big games. 7" slammer squared lip doesn't seem to affect the motion as much as the big game. I just felt like I was fighting the big games and got rid of mine.

Posts: 963 | There is a lot of good ones. For shallow water 1-7' I really like S.S Shads and Big Games For mid depth 6-12' I like Muskie Train MF shads they are very erratic and I have caught a lot of big fish on them. During cold fronts or tough conditions I will use a shallow invader. Jeff Hanson madisonmuskyguide.com

Posts: 1150 Location: Minnesota. | Stay away from Suicks. They're a bit of a PITA....you're always unhookin' danged fish... I know, I'm repeating myself and I should branch out more. Just can't help it tho...
