| For me, it would be the Jimmy Baker/Cave Run 004s/006s/007s! Those were some of the wobbliest baits ever made, and they are daggone good rockfish/striper baits too. Their versatilty allowed them to be cranked, twitched, popped, and worked on the surface w/ an unreal tantalizing "V" wake that drove fish nuts. I'm fortunate enough to have 4 of them, and still burst into tears thinking of the day I turned down a paper sack w/ 5 or 6 of these baits w/in; I was in a hurry to leave and said I'd pick some up later in the year...by then it was too late...todays lesson: NEVER WALK AWAY FROM AN INTELLIGENT OFFER!!! If loving those baits are wrong, then i don't want to be right.  |

Location: Greenfield, WI | My favorite is the July 1992, 8" Slammer Jerkbait made out Wigglewood! There are only two known to have been made by the "master"! One works Ok sort of... the other has so much action that it vibrates in the tacklebox while waiting to be cast! The sides of the good one have been epoxied and painted multiple times to fill in the grooves in the sides from the hooks. It never ever had clearcoat on it. If I ever loose that bait, just check me into the insane asylum, because I will be clinically depressed! |

| SteveJ, I saw the Duke; looks alot alike eh? I plan to get one to check it out soon. I threw a 007 red back last year in Little Cave Run and it stuck sideways on a daggone stump stub; got 'er back and patched it up w/ some silicone. Next time I see Jimmy, I'll try to talk him into making more!
Slamr, Dad/Grandad used to fish those Ciscos; I'll check to see if Dad has any left. They caught a lot of fish on them. I got a couple of the "deepers" now and bend he lips to adjust running depths. |

Those Magnum Raps, are those with the thick plastic lip and two hooks? If so, I have 13 of them still in the old baby blue boxes with the plastic covers. All include the papers in the box. Blue/Silver, Black/Silver, Black/Gold. 3 more are in my tackle box that are being used. I understand that they were discontinued back in the late 60's/very early 70's. Great bait!!

It works for all species and all weather conditions, any season is a good one, and if the warden says you can't do it, hand him a lighted stick and see where he throws it.....odds are he will fish with it! |

Not a lure, but I want Berkley to make the Ultra-Max 60lb line again. My 1000yd spool is almost out. I'm stuck in my ways, but I haven't found a line that comes close to it. |
