I am thinking about buying a Fig Rig jerk bait rod. I have not heard very much about this rod. Does anyone use Fig Rig rods? Are they compariable to St Croix or G-Loomis? Any positive or negative feedback about the rod or manufacturer?

Any information is appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave K

Dave,

Simpley my opninion here, I am not sponsored by Fig-Rig.

I have been using their musky line of rods for past 2 seasons with great success. Extremely well balanced light weight rods with near flawless action.

Their new 2003 lineup offers a newer blank that is even lighter weight. I would rank these with the best custom rods you could have made at Thornes on Sage blanks if not even better.

For my money there is not a better rod built, I have sold most of my St. Croix's, I just didn't want to use them once I had the Fig's. I have never used a G.Loomis so I can't give you a comparison there.

Great rods, backed by lifetime warranty, try one you won't be sorry.

I bought a Fig Rig rod at the Chicago Muskie Show. I have only used a couple times so far, but this is what I can tell you. It will be the first rod I reach for when I decide to go muskie fishing. I was quite impressed with the gentlemen that makes them, seeing as how he spent about a half hour with me describing how he makes them and how to use them to get the best possible action from his rods. Bottom line, I dont think you will be sorry for buying one. Also, I get know endorsement fees, nor am I sponsored by Fig Rig Rods.

Used two all last year and loved them. Am planning on picking up one or two more this year. Extremely light weight and great action. More than comparible to the 1/2 dozen St.Croix's I have. No, I don't have anything to do with the company, just a great product.
