| Anyone fish the chain this year ? If so how did it go? I'm Planning to go next Monday. I've been to Heidicke twice so far and had no luck the water temperature was 45 and. 51.

Location: Northern Illinois | Looks like all the rain brought the water back up on the chain
quite a bit, which we needed. Lots of boats out this weekend.
I hope to get out next weekend for the first time. Go FIBS. |

| I would fish Hiedecke, sorry about the spelling.
I heard they netted a lot of fish, up to 46 1/2, last fall.
Right around the boat ramp, area is a good spot. |

Location: Northern Illinois | Made it out Saturday afternoon on the northern lakes. On main Lakes
water temp was 55-57*, channels @ 61*. Didn't see/move any fish....
little early yet. Most people were running up into all the channels.
Water still a little dirty from all the rain. |

| I been to heidecke 3 times so far haven't seen or heard of any muskies being caught yet. The D N R had 5 nets set out for thier spring survey waiting for the results to be published on line. The first time the water was 54 degrees the second it was 58 and the third it got up to 61 degrees, I'm thinking 2 or 3 more weeks.
Good luck and thanks for the report on the chain. |
