Sounds like Tuffy is upping the game on the 2100 (Unlimited horsepower). Is this true? When should we see one rigged with a Verado 400R?

The 2100 is not restricted by the USCG for hp rating as it's over 20'. Not sure what will happen with the 400, probably will not see anyone trying that.

The coast guard does not rate boats over 20 feet for horsepower but the manufacturer does. The 2100 Tuffy is rated for 300hp by Tuffy boats. Anyone disregarding this rating will not only override their manufacturer warranty but would subject themselves to civil liability issues in the event of an accident. Good luck with your insurance too.
The coast guard does not require manufacturers to provide boats over 20 feet with level floatation either.

At the time that rating was established, the 350 and 400 were not yet available.
