| I'm thinking about traveling up to the park falls area in late July and thought I might try fishing butternut. Anybody ever fish it? How's the water clarity? |

Location: one foot over the line | It's been a few years since i fished it and if i remember correctly the water was pretty dark. However, that's the type of water that i'm used to. Boated a couple of low 40's. I would fish it again in a heartbeat. Neat lake with some nice weed-lines and some nice points. |

Location: Smith Creek | Visibility is less than 2-3 feet. Pretty easy lake to fish, good numbers of 30-42 inch fish. Weeds get pretty nasty around your time frame. Lots of muskie pressure. |

| Nice lake to fish, and the fish in the 40's were really chunky. Red for blades and top water was a good choice. Not orange.....red. |
