I really Like the fact the rod stays clean, no tangles, and is safe from gouges and damage in the tube or locker. One source I found is www.anglerspride.com. Do you have other sources? WHile checking out this link, look at the board storage rack they have; pretty cool. |

| My source is my mother! All custom fit, and different colors too! We measured up some of my trolling rods last year, and she got the material from a fabric shop. It's like the nylon jersey material, with the little holes in it. Cut them out with the right taper, and she sewed them up, with a split for the rod seat. Sewed velcro on the end for closure. They work great. Cost is about $6.00 for 6 of them. I will take a pic, and post.
For planer boards, the Lindy bouy holder works pretty good, too!

Location: Athens, Ohio | I use the lure wrappers from Bass Pro: velcro covers that keep the hooks from latching onto the carpet in my locker. A fellow Gambler owner made me a plastic piece that fits in my rod locker. I drilled holes in it and inserted golf club tubes. Now I have a more tangle-free rod locker. m |

Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | I also use the nylon rod sleeves. Keeps the rods from tangling and really saves on the rod guides. If you guys have a bunch of rods in the rod box, you will benifit from these things. |

Location: oswego, il | Yes, we store them in the rod box that way with a reel cover. Makes getting them out and putting them back in much easier not to mention it does not bang up the rods and reels. I use the nylon sleeve with a separate vinyl pouch and my dad uses a nylon all in one sleeve with a wool lining cause he's really special. |

Location: Woodstock, IL | I use Cabela's rod sleeves. They have elastic on the end that goes around the reel to keep it on. In addition, I use reel covers from Bass Pro. I can pile all of my rod/reel combos in the rod locker and they stay tangle-free, plus they don't get banged up. Makes for a bit more work when stowing them, but I think it is worth it.

Location: Edina, MN | I have used sleeves on all my rods for several years now. Protects them and keeps the lines from tangling together. WORD TO THE WISE IF YOU START USING SLEEVES. THEY ARE LIKE PUTTING A SAIL ON YOUR RODS. DO NOT PUT A ROD IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BOAT UNSECURED AND TRAILER YOUR BOAT! ONCE A SOCK IS ON THE RODS, THEY HAVE A TENDENCY TO BLOW OUT. I found out the hard way with a brand new, never been fished Loomis with a brand new reel. Blew out of my boat on the freeway. The sock did protect the blank though. Had to replace all the guides on the rod and a new housing and handle from Shimano to repair the reel. A bit over $100 mistake but I felt lucky to get off that easy. |

| I bought one last year to try out. I loved it. I'll be getting more of them. R&H has them for like 4.99 a piece and now they have sizes up to 8'.

| But WD after you roll your rods up to fit into those little tiny codoms, aren't they pretty much useless after that?

| Steve,
My wife made some for me with rip stop nylon. They work great. I put a dozen and more rods in the big rod box of the 1990 Essox Deep V. without ever getting the rods tangled. She sews a piece of heavy duty elastic to the bottom that wraps around the reel hanle to keep em tight. The elastic that she uses also makes it possible to use the "sock" on a couple of different rod lengths.
