I am looking at a Crestliner 1750 w/a 115 FICHT Ev. Does anyone know if they got the probles cleared up on the fuel injection? Both are 2003 models. Thanks much for all the help.

Problems were solved when Bombardier bought the company a couple of years back. I own a Crestliner 1850 with a 150 Evinrude and love it.

Thanks Mark. I had heard that the problems were taken care of but want to make sure before I drop a ton of cash. How do you like your Crest so far? Did you go with the DC or the SC? I was looking at the DC and you can take the second console off easlily, if you like. It would be nice if I was on Erie for walley, but not for fighting big fish. Thanks agian.

Randy, you jogged my memory. We talked at length to an evinrude guy at a sport show this year about the new motors like you are looking at. Made some pretty stout claims like they have less emmissions and run smoother than a 4-stoke. He explained the technology a bit and they sound like great motors.

I went with the DC model, as well as the musky edition package. The bow casting deck on this thing is huge and the port console doesn't get in the way at all.

You won't be disappointed with the Evinrude. ToddM heard the same thing that I read - the Evinrude beats 4-strokes all around except for noise level. However, it is still the quietest 2-stroke I have ever heard.

If you want to see pictures of the rig, I have several posted in the photo album section. I'll include one or two here as well.

Just read that Bombardier is selling their Recreational Products Division, which includes Johnson and Evinrude, to get back to their core business - planes and trains.

Hopefully whoever gobbles it up doesn't change the direction Evinrude is going. This website is full of Q&A for those interested.
