Anyone know anything about what the new Merc outboard will be that will be announced February 12?

Rumors are just that but a lot more than 200, like exactly double.

Mercury has been dropping hints and teasers. And 400 is the rumor. 400 in an outboard is not new, but if Mercury pulls it off and keeps the weight down it should be a good challenge to the engines from seven marine (557hp in an outboard)

400hp on something like a ZV21 would be outrageous. The seven marine engine is the LSA from the Caddy CTS-V, correct?

Yeah application will likely be twins, triples, and quad orders as fast as they can make them if it all works out. And yes the 557 is the 6.2l supercharged.

Can the Yamaha 350hp at mid 700lbs. even go on a 621 or zv21?

Yeah that yamaha is way too heavy. Whatever they announce will be aimed at big cc and express saltwater boats. The boats are getting huge and the motors aren't keeping up. I anticipate a home run with this one for Mercury.
