| I'm heading down to Hazel Creek Missouri on April 25th & 26th. I've been told that the Musky fishing down there can be Ok this time of year. Can anyone provide a little insight as to locations and hot baits.
Thanks |

Location: Eden Prairie & Pine Island | Its been several years since I've been there, but you might want to call ahead and check the water clarity. It can be awfully muddy if they have significant rain or run off. Neat lake though. |

Location: St. Charles, Missouri | Hazel Creek is a small reservoir that provides drinking water to the city of Kirksville. It has a ten HP limit, but you can put your big boat in the water and use the electric. The deeper timber and rip rap banks should be holding muskies. Look for schools of shad and the toothy ones won't be far away. Big tandem spinners and jerk baits work well.
Here's a link with more info.

Location: Eagle Grove, Iowa | Hazel creek Does not allow any gas motors. The muskies will be in post spawn most likely at this time. Males will be active and still shallow try small jerkbaits or shallow cranks.Nice remote peaceful lake with no boats buzzing around lots of wildlife and fishing is pretty good to. Make sure you have good batteries or you will have a short day on the water.
good fishing,tracy |

| Thanks for the info as I know absolutely nothing about this lake. I was wondering what other nearby lakes you fish for musky? |
