Location: Lake Geneva, WI | I installed a 999HD over the weekend. The spots to mount the transducer on the transom were very limited because of obstructed views to either side. My question is it alright if the transducer sits a little below the hull line of the boat by 1/4 inch? Will this cause issues or is that alright to mount the transducer there? Thanks

| The only issues it would cause would be its more susceptible to getting struck by debris in the water if its below the hull line. |

Location: SE WISCONSIN | This is what I did I'm running a 3 transducer set up a HDSI on the left a HDSI on the right and a 2d skimmer in between the si transducer's are out of harms way and I don't have to trim my motors up to get a clear scan of either side.

Location: SE WISCONSIN | Yours should work fine lowered like you have it but you might have a big rooster tail of water from your transducer and depending on the speed and water conditions the transducer may kick up once and a while. |

| What is the boat you are mounting it on and what is on either side? I think most aluminum boats use ducer more or less 1/2-way below the bottom of the hull, but depending on the boat it might not be the best option.

Location: Lake Geneva, WI | Thanks for the imput guys. I was able to get out last night and everything worked well, no interference with the transducer and there wasn't any spray either. It's pretty cool technology, now trying to figure out how to really use it.... |
