Hey all you Minnesotans, I'll be rooting for your boys to do it again tonight. The heck with all that round ball hype....."Drop the puck!"
Good luck Gophers.

That's a game!! I still miss the old Black Hawks (Bobby Hull, Stan Mikata, unknowns like Dennis Dejorty), and the announcer who made the game so exciting on TV, Petit (sp?)

Hey man, you get your invite?

Steve, the only Muskie guy I know as old as Gordy Howe!

I used to be a huge hockey fan and player. I still remember the article in Sports Ill about Bobby Hull. It had a picture of him loading a hay wagon with a pitch fork. That guy's muscles had muscles! He was awesome on the ice. I don't know how the goalies in that era could face his supersonic slapshot with no face masks!

I quit playing when my High School didn't have a team, and they wouldn't let me play on the public high team. Sure miss skating.

I'll be rooting for MN, although I may not be able to watch it.

Congradulations to the Golden Gophers (my Alma Matter), 5-1 over New Hamphire.

There are two kids on the team from Baudette, 36 miles east, none this year from Warroad or Roseau, but there has been lots. This part of the US puts out some very good hockey players.

Doug Johnson, from Warroad, (hockey town USA, it says so on our water tower.)

Conrats guys.
Don't get a shirt for me. I bleed Cardinal and White. Got season tickets for Badger Hockey. They may have been pretty bad this year, and I won't even go into the "coaching change transition" song and dance, or the "no leadership-only four seniors and none of them superstars" crapolla. But I will say that they have the best freshmen that I have seen in years with more major recruits on the way. Watch for them to be a force to be reckoned with in the very near future.
Let's not forget the proud past of The Badgers now in the NHL.....Dany Heatly, Curtis Joseph, Brian Rafalski, Chris Chelios, Steve Reinprecht, Scott Mellanby, Dave Tanabe, Mike Richter.
One thing that I'm proudest of is the fact that even though they didn't have an impressive record, and their captain got jailed for punching a police officer defending his sister outside a bar......Wisconsin lead the WCHA in attendance for the 15th straight year drawing about 10,000 fans a game.
Check out the attachment of my daughter and six of the freshmen at Skate With The Badgers. 11 more years and she'll be playing hockey at UW.....or at least that's what she'll tell you if you ask her. And I don't doubt her for a moment.
