Going to bring my new boat home this week and I ran into a little trouble. From the tip of the trailer to the back end of the lower unit it's about 32 feet! My driveway is only 28 feet from the garage door to the side walk.
I can't get it into the slip until May 1st, and I want it home for a while to mount the rod holders and down riggers.

What's a guy to do????

Build a bridge across the trailer so people can still use the sidewalk.

If you want to store it at our farm on Ryan Road you are more than welcome to work on it over there. We have a guy that owns the house and barn, we own the rest of the land, Darrel will keep a eye on things and I can hook you up to electric so you can work on it. Call me and we can find a spot for you to use close to the barn.

Thanks for the offer Mike! I talked it over with the farmer behind me and were going to work out a deal with some smoked fish for a little boat storage!

Should have you a Red headed drop belly glider for the Cave run PMTT.

What a daggone situation to be in. Next time may I suggest one of those porta-fold boats, that way when you get home you can lean it against the side of the hooch! Wish I could get enough boat to have that problem...:(

Two things, swing away thong and lower the motor as much as possible and at an angle should give you the 4 feet you need.

Now 32 feet how big is this boat? no way you got 10 feet of trailler and motor.

Trophymuskie, any sentence with Bill Schwartz and a "swing-away thong" in it is too scary for me to deal with!!!
Mr. Schwartz, park the entire rig on the street facing uphill, and declare yourself a born again Christian, who is preparing his "ark" for the next great flood!
By the time all of the legal challenges are done it will be May 1st and all your repairs will be completed!.......
Or put a bunch of U.S. flags on it and declare that you are showing your support for our troops!

Lets slap it in the water and tear up some Browns, I will be out of work by 1pm today. Working on a Saturday is not fun but the money tree is bare.

Bill,
Get a case of beer, position it next to an apple box out at the road behind the boat at the road.Don't forget the red flag for Jason Smith's other hand,we wouldn't want the boat to get hit! Capt. Larry
