| I'd use 1,20 mm or 0.51'' .

In practice, are you using a wire with a diameter of 1.5 mm ?
I use stainless steel wire 1.20 mm (but there is also the diameter 1.5 mm) used by dental technicians.
you could also use the AISI 304 stainless steel.
Some of my friends use the Tig (for welding stainless steel ).

| your wires at the joint have to be perfectly horizontal and vertical. if that doesn't work the spring tempered wire will fix the issue |
