I am the scorer for this year's event, and have begun scoring the event as follows:

I will assign 100 points for first place, and one point less for all places down to 10th place. Your choices for the top ten will apply to exactly that, the top ten!

The top 50 players will qualify by point totals for the Championship. The Championship will be scored exactly the same, but only qualifiers can play.

I will post results to the original thread as soon as I have all the contestants scored!

dorese ramsey collects 480 points for 5 correct top ten picks and the first place prizes for this event.

roland selected 4 correct top ten teams for 383 points.

5 Fantasy Anglers chose 3 teams in the top ten.

Scoring for each event is easy, simply add up your total points. Ties will be broken by who posted first. Make your team choices early, and make sure they are posted before the Saturday Weigh In begins. I am administering the Live leaderboard, so I will know when that begins. No choices made after the weigh-in begins will be accepted for the Championship or for the current event.

Cumulative scoring is easy for the Championship, simply add your total points up for the total. An exact tie will result in the value number of the teams being set by the earliest post of the last event. Example: Bill posts and gets 100 points which puts him in 48th place overall. Sam posts and gets 290 points , then tying for 48th with Bill. Bill will get 48th for posting first during the last event, and Sam will get 49th.

This is just for fun, is free of charge and will run smoothly and cleanly. Scoring will be completed during the following week of any event.

I personally  score the event, score the Live Leaderboard, and post the results. The rules are listed above, clearly, and this will be scored as is explained until we can automate the event. NO one submitted a post after the event was beginning to weigh in. I know that because I did the LLB here, and locked the thread while I scored the LLB.

The reasons for the scoring is administrative, and doesn't affect the chances one has to win OR make the Championship, unless one knows in advance who is going to win.

I have absolutely no problem with an unregistered user entering the event. We welcome everyone to MuskieFIRST, and as long as I can verify identity ( which I can) then anyone can play as long as they use the same boardname throughout the contest.
