Hey all,

A friend of mine is looking at an 03 Chevy truck that has quadrasteer.. Has anyone had any experience with these? The initial thought is that it is just one more moving component that could fail and cost $. But the truck only has 50,000 miles, is in great shape, and they are asking a good price.. Searching online, it seems that most people have not had many issues with it, figured I would see if anyone on here has any experience on their reliability? Thanks!

i am a mechanic and can tell you that i have only worked on 1 in many years, since they never really caught on- it was a high milage vehicle approaching 200k the owner said he loved the truck and after inspecting it didnt see anything wrong with the quadra steer unit other than minor seepage which probably wasn't enough to even worry about- so I would say go for it if its a good enough deal
