Location: NE PA | if you are looking for a cheap 7'6'' rod for a newbie, bass pro has a graphite series that runs right around 60 bucks brand new, or the shimano sojurn can be had in several different weights and from 7'-8'xh for pretty cheap as long as you wont be throwing anything heavy they should work for them to get their feet wet.
