Does anyone have any pointers on how to add a blade to a quick strike rig?

Thanks,
Craig

To an already made rig? Probably the easiest is to snip the hole the clevis usually goes in, put it over the wire, and pinch back together with pliers. Should stay on during normal use. Could also use a snap or split ring to attach. Depends on how the leader is made and where you want the blade, I suppose. If making them from scratch, I'd just use a swivel like normal.

Yes it would be for rigs already made.

If it is wire, just snip the wire, add a crimp where you want the blade(I use different blade proximities depending on where/what I'm doing) tighten the crimp(don't go overboard), add a few beads with a solid one where the clevis will ride, clevis, blade, one more small bead and retie/crimp/swivel your leader. This is also the time to add any amount of weight via egg sinker to your rig if you choose(again this is situational).
