Location: Madison, WI | Anyone running a Tuffy 1890 with a 150? I have seen two for sale with 150s, one of them being a verado. Just wondering if this boat performs well with a 150 or if I should look for one with a 200? Not concerned about being a speed demon but just curious as what top speed would be and if it's super slow out of the hole or not too bad? Thanks - Dan |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The 1890 runs very well with a 150. The boat has a great hole shot with a 90hp in a tiller, so correctly propped, it will fire up on plane with a 150. Top end with a 150 should be in the middle to upper 40's depending on load and elevation. |

Location: The desert | I run a 90 tiller, it planes out just fine. At top end I usually run mid 30s. |

Location: Madison, WI | Doing a little research on the Verado 150, I see the displacement is like 1732cc while the Merc 150 4stroke has a displacement of 3000cc? Not really sure what these numbers mean but on paper it looks like the Verado is only putting out ~ half the power of the 150 4stroke? Can somebody enlighten me a little? I just don't want to make a purchase this big and have it be underpowered.
Thanks |

Location: Wisconsin | HP and displacement are two very different specs. A two stoke has the ability to have more hp w/ less displacement by design. Both motors are rated at 150 hp. |
